Released type families explore various type design space, ranging from text to display typefaces, from handmade scripts to serious readable fonts.
While I enjoy Komu for the Headline text I believe it could be paired with a Serif font such as Baskerville (shown above). The thick lettering might cause a bit of a heavy intense look that may not read well over a full paragraph.
When I evaluate letterforms I like to look at letters that are similar to one another to look for consistency in the type. See the “R” and the “K” — it is interesting to see that the treatment of the base of the “R” is different than “K.”
Overall I feel this font is beautiful and I plan to use it on video title screens. I think it works best as a strong and solid display typeface.
